Inspirational Color Palettes

I would love to think that I could fully express myself and somehow convey to you how I see “art”, how uncommon scraps and scribbles and color swatches look like the best kind of art to me!

Messy handwriting, paint splatters, spills and stains, field notes…these are the things that seem to bring real life and meaning into art for me lately. As I was testing some colors the other day and writing little notes out to the side, it struck me….this is art! And this is actually what I imagine hanging on my own walls. While I love scenery, these sketches of sorts are the pieces that often speak to me the most and continue to invoke more and more meaning and feeling and inspiration.

So I thought, would my people like this too? I actually don’t know, but it became my favorite part of this collection, and I’m so happy to share this Inspirational Color Palette series with you!

This first set has three palettes, and I’ll have more coming I’m sure!

Also, many of you helped name these colors on instagram and truly, it lit my heart up and made it all so much fun!

No. 1 The Favs

This was actually the first accidental piece that inspired this series! I was just casually painting with some of my favorite colors and thinking about what they reminded me of. I decided it would be fun to record those things as I went, and my six year old pitched in naming them as well, so much fun! I loved all of your instagram suggestions and you may see some of yours here!

No. 2 The Pinks

How lovely is this pink palette?! It’s so sweet, gentle, and makes me feel like smiling. All the best pinks right here for you to look at all day! Again, your color suggestions were soooo good. This would be beautiful displayed in your living room, your office, or even a soft little girls room or nursery. Just lovely.

No. 3 The Blues

I don’t naturally paint with blue all that much, so this was actually a treat to explore with these beautiful blues! This palette is calm, soothing, and peaceful, and I feel like it is the perfect addition to a space that you want to invoke those feelings in. I’ll invite that into any room in my house anytime!
